Singapore’s North Region covers Woodlands, Yishun, Sembawang and the less built-up areas around Mandai and Simpang. It is home to a lot of people and, as far as our research goes, no specialist pie shop that we could confirm. We would rather tell you that than pad the page.
Where is the nearest pie shop to Woodlands or Yishun?
The nearest specialist pie counter in our directory is the Chicken Pie Kitchen kiosk at AMK Hub in Ang Mo Kio, which sells DonChef’s Don pies, in the North-East Region. AMK Hub is linked to Ang Mo Kio MRT on the North-South Line, so it is a straight ride from Yishun or Woodlands. The kiosk opens daily, sells pies and crab bee hoon, and has no seating.
Chains with mall outlets
Polar Puffs & Cakes, Kopi & Tarts, Délifrance and Han’s all run outlets across the island. We have not mapped their branches one by one, so check each chain’s own store list for the North. If you need a halal-certified pie, Polar, Kopi & Tarts and Délifrance state that they are certified.
Getting pies delivered to the North
Delivery is the realistic way to get a specialist pie in the North. Most bakers deliver islandwide, with free-delivery thresholds clustering between $150 and $200. The Shepherd’s Pie delivers halal shepherd’s pie trays, Windowsill Pies and Elijah Pies deliver whole sweet pies, and Bake Mission sends frozen pies to bake at home. Our pie delivery guide compares the fees and lead times.
Know a good pie shop up north?
If a bakery in Woodlands, Yishun or Sembawang makes a pie worth the trip, we would like to research it for the next edition. We only add sellers we can verify from their own information or recent, dated sources.
