Where to buy a cheap chicken pie in Clementi
Balmoral Bakery at 105 Clementi Street 12 is an old-school neighbourhood bakery that food guides date to 1965. Its chicken pie, with chicken, carrot, potato and peas, cost about $1.80 when LadyIronChef visited in January 2024, and it sells a beef pie too. Prices and hours come from those guides, so check before you go.
A banana cream pie near one-north
Wheathead, at 8 Slim Barracks Rise near one-north, makes a banana cream pie at $14.50. It is a plated dessert, quite different from the small Katong banana pies in the east. URA maps place this area in the Central Region; we list it in the West because that is how most people describe it.
Jurong East
Tiong Bahru Bakery’s outlet at JEM sells its sun-dried tomato chicken pie and chilli crab pie, about $12 to $13 on an aggregator listing (check the counter).
Beyond the west’s own shops
